REGISTERING A PLAYER

Before a player is able to take any part in a matchday, they must be registered for your team with the FA and the league. Follow the instructions below to complete this registration:

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THESE ACTIONS ON WHOLEGAME, YOU NEED TO BE DOWN AS A CLUB REGISTRATION OFFICER. EACH AGE GROUP HAS THEIR OWN REGISTRATION OFFICER. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO THIS IS, OR YOU WANT TO ADDED AS A REGISTRATION OFFICER THEN PLEASE CONTACT ANYONE FROM THE COMMITTEE.

Step 1: Club Registration Form

Before registering the player with either the FA or the league, they need to complete a club registration form which can be found here.

This registration form gives consent for them to join the club, as well as allows the parent to provide any information such as medical conditions that we need to be aware of.

Step 2: Add them to the club on whole game

Log into whole game, click on the player registration officer tab and then navigate to players. From here you will see an add new player option.

2 options are displayed, either search FA players or create player. If you create a duplicate it may cause problems so always search for the the player first, if they can’t be found then you can create a new player.

Once you’ve added the player to the club, there are 4 steps that must be completed. Once these are all green then you are able to submit the player to the league

Step 3: Provide Consent

The club registration form counts as consent. So if they’ve done this form, then just click Provide consent, select offline consent and the box will turn green to show this step is complete

Step 4: Assign a team

Clicking on the assign team box will show all of the teams with the club that they are eligible to play for. This is usually the teams associated with their age group, and the age group above as players are eligible to play one year up if that is deemed appropriate based on the child’s development.

Select the team you wish to assign the player to:

Step 4: Complete player info

The 3rd box for Player info will not be green if the player either doesn’t have a photo uploaded or the photo needs updating. To do this, click on edit player and upload the new photo.

The other reason that this box will not be green is if the player has no parent/carer assigned. After clicking on the box you can add the parent/carer in a very similar way that you added the player

Based on the information provided on the registration for you can either search or create. Again, try to search first so that we don’t create duplicates

Step 5: Verify ID

It is our responsibility to ensure that the players are playing in the right teams at the right age group. Once you have seen some form of ID to confirm the players age, select the ID verified box and enter the date the ID was checked and the name of the person that verified the ID

Step 6: Submit to league

Once all of these boxes are green, then you will be able to submit to the league for approval. If this is done before 1pm on a Thursday then it is usually approved in time for the weekends matches.

You must wait until the league have approved before playing the player in a game
